My RX300 has a navigation screen. It already has a hard-wired FM modulator installed.
I usually bring my portable 7" LCD/DVD player. The sound is pretty good, but holding the
DVD player for a few hours isn't...

Is it possible to add video input to it. If so, how do I go about doing it? How is the video quality when playing DVDs via the navigation screen?


Alternatively, it is possible to add a flip-down overhead LCD monitor with built in DVD player?
I saw a Panasonic 9" model from Costco that was only $550, which includes two wireless
headphones. How does it install if my RX300 has the glass sunroof?

Im trying to do the same as you. As soon as I got some news, I will post it. It is possible, it is a matter of know the meaning of the pins on the back, have a video conversor...I'm 75% on it... be patient.

That seems like a cool idea... but where are the AC controls going be relocated?

you can relocate your AC controls under the factory stereo behind the shifter. If you do a search on Cardomain.com somebody has already done it. My installer quoted me around 800-1200 for the work since they will have to fiberglass and custom make the kit for it. Another place is where your center console is... but with that idea, you wll have to sacrifice the 2 pull out compartments. I've also seen it relocated to the glove box, which is kinda useless, since it is way out of reach.
