On my 99' RX300....when on and sitting at a stop light or such, I here a weird kind of "ticking" sound coming from what seems to be the center console/radio/display area.
At first i though it was the CD changer, but I've opened the glove box and ruled that out.
Anybody have any ideas or had a similar problem/noise?

faint ticking sound is normally associated with fuel injectors opening and closing, which is perfectly normal.
Depends on how faint the sound is or isn't.

One other possiblity is an issue I have in mine where the ac system is making the sound. I think this is realted to the condenser. If you try pressing the recirc button on and off you may here it do a tick or a click, even with the ac off. I can´t remember exactly but I sort of remember this may have something to do with the ac condenser. Sometimes, I won´t hear the sound for weeks.

try checking your cassette player too. I use my cassette adapter to play my ipod and when the volume is down I can hear faint clicking maybe from my cassette adapter of the cassette player itself
