RMM Exhaust

RMM Exhaust
I've heard nice things about the RMM exhaust and it seems to have a reasonable price. Any opinions on this? And also what are some good places online to order it? Is it relatively easy to install?

One of our Club Lexus vendors, L-Tuned Parts at Carson Toyota has this http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=635
Installing this or any muffler is not hard (I have plenty of experience )
Basically, the OEM hangars should fit on to it without problem and merely you need to used a welding torch and cut off the OEM muffler and weld the new one in. It has been a few years since I remember someone putting on one, but it is an excellent aftermarket exhaust. With one of these types of mufflers you will immediately notice the pickup.

Correct, "bolt-on" mods are commonly cat-back or axle-back exhausts, cold-air/short ram intakes and stuff that you remove the stock part and bolt on the aftermarket part. Usually a one person job and with the RX300 you probably wouldn't need jacks for the RMM exhaust.

You're right about it being a bolt on.
When I was looking at one (after I did my first muffler install), I had already done a hack job to widen my exhaust after my resonator, so I am actually the one who would have needed to do the welding.
Just about nothing is OEM on my RX300 anymore.
I had to look at my scale model RX300 to notice the OEM bolt on area after the muffler.

I am hoping the guy I met from my exhaust shop on Sunday at the races wasn't lying to me when he said the machines are ready to go to make headers for the V6/V8 applications.
Then I will have a hard time commenting on the exhaust manifold.
I have been reading a lot about headers and CELs as even though I don't have precats (and no CELs), I may buy some O2 simulators (sometimes know as eliminators) just in case. Although I love California, glad my RX300 isn't registered there as an inspector would have a field day.

Thankfully, my home state of Florida doesn't have any tests (they scrapped the city ones they had over 5 years ago) and Mexico doesn't care (though they won't let me drive every day down here due to so much smog).
CARB should be related to getting rid of carbohydrates not stand for the California Air Resources Board. If we could get rid of carbohydrates, Lexmex and his fat *** might go a little faster in his RX300 at the track. And wanted to add that the excess flatulence of course would no longer pollute the air. Killing two birds with one stone there.
They should allow mods as long as you pass the test and should give you brownie points for original thinking in creative mods.
