Hi! Just got my baby a few days ago and love it Had a 4 Runner and appreciate the perks and heavenly ride. I have factory navigation and hate the sound in the stereo. Previously, I had a subwoofer and amp with a customer cover for the sub. What can I do to make my sound better? I like a little thump Should I just get better door speakers and what are my options for good sound in the back? Thanks in advance!

Haha, well, it's kind of hard to answer a question like this. I really don't know how much bass you like, or how seriously you take the clarity of your speakers. But, if it helps you, I'm in the process of re-doing the system of the RX, and I think I'm getting it installed next week. Here is what I came up with.

-JL Audio Clean Sweep
-iPod cable
-Boston Acoustics Pro component speakers
-JL Audio 10w6v2

and as of right now I'm not sure about the amps. More than likely one JL 500/1, and one 450/4.

well, the RX already has a 200w amp and sub in it...so if you just replace the door speakers, as i did, you will get significantly better sound.

also...another thing that I did to improve sound quality is I filled the door pockets with a beige foam to prevent any shaking caused by thumping or louder speaker noise. it's a good investment if you really want some good sound
