99 Venetian Red

99 Venetian Red
I recently got what I thought was a great deal on a 99 venetian red pearl RX 300, but I'm curious whether the rare color makes it more or less valuable for future resale. From what I gather, it's the only single color option from that model year and later models don't even offer any shade of red as an option. IMHO, it's a beautiful color, but perhaps too bold for the target market?

Congrats on your new RX.
You're correct in that 1999 was the only year any shade of red was offered.
Red is one of my favorite colors for cars, but in 1999 I traded in a red Montero for the RX 300, so I didn't want red twice in a row. I went with Burnished Gold Metallic then, Woodland Pearl (a forest green) in '02, and then Flint Mica in '04. I think the Flint is cool, and no repeats! I'm not big on white, black, silver, or blue. I do like the Breakwater Blue, though - I considered that in '04.
It might be time for red to come back! But a deep red, like the Venetian - not a cherry red.
