Default seat memory malfunction

1999 RX300. I just found out that the seat memory function does not record set points. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

The first question regarding strange electrical problems is are you still using the original battery? If not, when was it replaced?

Default response to battery question

The battery is new. The problem existed before I replaced the battery.

What about other memory functions like radio presets, clock etc.

Shifter in Park; Foot off the brake, ignition switched ON.

Does it give you a beep when 1 or 2 is pressed.?

In the owners manual, under Driving Position Memory System, adjust the seat - while pressing the Set button, press a 1 or 2 until the signal beeps.

The radio presets are OK. The clock is stuck at 1:00 AM. No beep can be heard when either 1 or 2 is depressed in park position, foot off break and ignition on,

I had a problem with mine, but the problem was with the recline only, when selected, nothing would happen. I replaced the memory computer, same problem. It turned out to be the switches on the side of the seat. Ignition on, selector in park, push set and 1 at the same time, if it does not beep... are the fuses good, it uses the dome light 10amp fuse and the 15amp ECU-IG fuse. I think that if the seat moves properly, but will not work with the memory only, you would probably have a computer problem. If it comes to that, I paid 150.00 for one and it works fine, I would sell it for half of that. Let me know, hopefully you just have a fuse blown.

Please dig through old posts, and look for a thread that was about clock being stuck.
