Lil4x says it all, 40K miles on the 235s. Mine as I mentioned was about 1.5 years, but my roads are awful down here.

Lexus Champion
For those who are interested in getting new tires, check the November issues of Consumer Reports during the last few years.
It never cease to amaze me that so many people rally behind the Michelin CT, though CR's test has shown that it is a lousy tire compared to the competition. When people pay top dollar for a tire, they tend to think it must be outstanding.
Not to pick on anyone nor the Michelin brand. Michelin makes great passenger car tires. I had the Michelin X-One on my last car and it was indeed outstanding, and later CR's test proved it. Unfortunately Michelin does not seem to have the competency to make a decent SUV/light truck tire.
I recommend the OEM Bridgestone Dueler H/T D687. It is an excellent all around performer that does just about everything well. The only downside is the fast wear. Now mine is down to 5/32" after 26K miles.

Just curious Lexmex,
did you replace the spare tire also?
If not, have you considered the fact that one 225/70-16 mixed with 3- 235/70-16 tire would give you a problem in the event you ever had a blowout?

Out of Warranty
If you have an AWD, the difference between the diameter of the upsized tires and the OEM spare could play havoc with your driveline if it was needed - especially if you keep the spare on the ground for more than a few miles at low speeds. Considering the risk/benefit, I bit the bullet and bought a fifth tire - although I never had to use it.
My RX 300 was a '00 model - that did not have a matching spare wheel (the spare was black iron spokes), meaning I could not rotate it into service without dismounting it.

Dueler Alenza's
I had the Bridgestone Alenza's installed on my RX. I bought them during the rebate program, and I am very happy with the tire. The original tires just didn't last very long. This new tire costs just a bit more but is expected to last at least 60k. I can totally tell the difference with this tire. They grip the road like no other and I feel very confident taking the corners hard. I haven't had a chance to ride them in the snow yet, but the aggressive tread should do well. I would recommend this tire.
