Default Power seat override??

I've got a 02 rx and the power seat motors got wet and fried and I was wondering if there was some sort of manual override. Thanks for all the help guys!

Please do not jury rig any override as it is a safety issue [your body position, body+seat inertia, fixed positon of seat to brake-pedal/accellarator controls, distance from stearing column + air bag].

The seat position is held in place by the gearing ratio [motor can move the seat but the seat can not spin the motor]. Not sure but a worm gear is usually used to get the mechanical advantage.

Either live with the inconvinience, (bad position) or fork out the money for proper repair. Please make no compromises on this. If the passenger seat motor is the same, (check part number) amy be you can swap them at the cost of triplicating work.

If you're up to a DIY repair, it sounds like getting replacement motors at the local Lexus/Toyota junk yard (i.e., recycling facility) might be promising. Maybe even a Toyota motor might be equivalent.

So the 7mm socket on a drill to spin the the armature/rotor of the motor. Are all motors the same .. ie can you swap the say tilt with the front/back motor?
