Default Quick Pos/Neg question HELP!

So I'm installing my angel eyes right now. Got the 1st headlight done and it was a PITA! now I'm tryna figure out where can I tap it to so I can have them running at all times when the car is on. Somebody help me. I actually decided to connect it to the front sidemarker on the side of the bumper. Should I just tap it in or completely take out the sidemarker? If I tap it in will it affect the brightness of both the angel eyes and the sidemarker since they will be running off the same power wire? And finally. The wires to the sidemarkers are green and white! Which one is Pos and which one is Neg? Thanks guys!

Hey not exactly sure what type of light angel eyes are, but do you know what wattage or amps they might draw? Also if you have a volt meter you can put the black wire to negative ground and use the red wire to read voltage on the two wires you are talking about. If your lights are going to draw any load, you will need a relay.

I don't have Lexus wiring schematics, but if you have a 12v test light, you could figure out which is + and which is -. Just hook one of your angel eye wires to negative ground post on the battery temporarily. Then hook either the green or white wire to the other. If it comes on the you found your positive voltage wire.

Hey, you may want to consider a relay. That way you don't even have to bother oem wiring. Go to www.howstuffworks.com, there is a section on relays that explains how to wire and use for lighting applications. Using a relay will keep load off your wiring or other electrical components. Wired to an swithched source would keep power to your lights anytime the ignition switch is on. Really not to difficult, and keeping that circuit independent of other electrical components will save you big headaches later.
