RX Roof Racks

Out of Warranty
I think they are, but deep in the recesses of my rather leaky memory is a note about there being a change in the crossbars somewhere during that run. I'm not sure, but I think everything's compatible, just different. I believe it had to do with aerodynamics - the newer crossbars created slightly less wind noise.
Anyone with specific knowledge?

I took a look on several parts sites on an Internet search and did not see any indication there was a difference, but I also remember something in a change on the crossbars. A few, very rare and miraculous times that I cross paths with another RX300 down here in Mexico, I notice that the roof racks look a little different than the ones I had and that the of course the rear lights are the 2001+ versions.
Best thing I could say is to check with the Lexus dealer (won't hurt one's wallet to ask) and then buy online.

My 1999 RX300 came with the early version of the cross-bars. Thule and Yakima refused to endorse them. I complained to Lexus. Lexus replaced them with the revised version, at no charge. They fit without any modification.
