Mex, really nice! Great look.
Been wanting to do mine but afraid to get stuff wet. Also, I guess it's best to let the engine cool so it isn't done hot.
You're the best. Much thanks.

Now I am tempted to do this myself. I've been cleaning my engine compartment by hands for years, but there are places that I just can't get to.
That is a good point on the alternator. Yet, I have never done so. No one area except the tranny cooler and the radiator gets inundated for more than 1 or 2 seconds.

With regard to being cold, I usually do it within 5 minutes of arriving.

What that means is you probably won't have to worry about anything should you leave it sit for a bit longer.

I find that with the engine hot, it makes it easier for the dirt to come off.

This is the back of the tranny cooler before I wash it (don't have an after picture though). Notice is in the upper right vent that it is not clear. This what I was talking about that dirt can get in there. This is likely from the mud and dirt that wash up from the tire.

One more good shot. Good for reference as it show the location of the tranny pan and the front differential bolts and part of the oil pan and bolt. Also, there is the cracked portion of the flex pipe that my uncle had to reweld.
