255/55-18's on 35mm offset rim do fit

Just an FYI, in case this would become useful to anyone:
I ordered the following rims & tires:
Exel Ennio, 18x8", 35mm offset
Toyo Proxes 255/55-18
The wheels fit fine in the front, however the back required a 1/4" wheel spacer--and you could seriously fit a goat hair between the inside sidewall of the tire and the strut tower. Are there any safety concerns with this? There's literally less than 1/4 of space--you have to get the right viewing angle to see light. But, when the back of the truck is jacked, the rear wheels spin freely.

do you have any pictures? and by any chance, do you know what the stock offsets are? i'd like to see how far it comes out with that size/offset. im planning on running 20x9 all around with a +24 offset.
