Default Oil Problem

the rx just hit 90K and I noticed that it was low on oil. 3 Quarts later it is still low, what is going on. I have not noticed any smoke and have run mobil 1 every 5k since the 60k service and prior to this it was changed every 3500 miles. I have all the service records, it was 100% lexus service until 60k and now at toyota (no lexus dealer around here). Am I getting the slidge problem or could something else be wrong. there is no oil on my floor either. I purchased it with 29k from another clublexus member.

I used to have this same issue.

Try using a can of Restore oil additive (any Auto parts store and WalMart has it), use the 4 cylinder one, not the 6 cylinder one on your next oil change.

It could be some oil is seeping around the compression at 90K and that Restore should help.

I have same issue, Toyota dealers here (but not Lexus). Luckily, I have one hell of a mechanic in my uncle.

FYI here is Auto-RX restoring the compression on this Camry, which has the same 1mzfe engine as the RX300

That was my plan, maybe wait until after the oil change though. this stuff worked wonders for my dads old f-150 when I was a kid.

TunedRX300 is right...if Restore is liquid silver (actually it is purple ) then Auto-RX is liquid gold. The stuff is fantastic.
