Beginning of the installation. Basically, we chopped of the part with the two bolts holes from the OEM piping and welded it on to the new piece.

Here you can take a close look at the bolted piece and how they welded the piece from the OEM joint.

Let's take a diameter comparison look between the old and the 2.5 inch new pipe. This is for the front manifold.

They chopped off the top part where the joint with the bolts was.

Now, let's take a look at the front manifold view. This would be bank 2, sensor 1. Note the K&N oil filter.

Off the curve. Noticed the crushed bent there. The weld is in a similar place to where some of you had to have the accordion like join there replaced with a newer pipe due to fracturing. Remember, my uncle welded this piece. Well, we had to put a weld here to combine to pieces so they could fiit.

Same shot, but from the other side with the front differential in view to the right of the pipe and the transfer case to the left of the pipe with the drain bolt in view.

Here it goes toward over the hump. Front differential is in view at the top.

Now, let's move on the joint.

Here is a look at the hole through the two combined pieces. This area is sometimes referred to as collector. Though this piece does not quite fit that definition as collectors are usually a lot more intricate. However, it was not really necessary for the joining of two pieces. However on long tube headers (which I felt were not necessary after careful examination) a more formal collector would have been necessary.

In the previous shot, they did clean up the area after they welded the rear and front tubes together.

Here is the first step in how they merged the two pieces leading from the front and rear manifolds.
