Should have had an oil change at 75K, any way to run the VIN at a Lexus dealer to see what maintenances have (or haven't) been done?

Next biggie is at 90K, 1500+-

Usually, 90K miles, though that belt can run longer. At the same time, though some abstain, cheaper to change out the water pump at this point while changing the timing belt.

Mileage is most important, but as the vehicle ages there are issues simply caused by the ravages of time. My stepmother had a beautiful little Olds Celica with VERY few miles - a typical little old lady's car that was hardly ever driven. Over 12 years it had about 18K put on it, until I started driving it on weekends after it began to suffer from lack of use.

I had to replace the tires before 20K as they had simply dry rotted. The mini spare was junk too, blowing out after two blocks. I replaced all of the major A/C components as they failed one by one, and then the transmission started going downhill fast. By the time I sold it, it had one forward gear left.

Oil and fluids were regularly changed, all normal maintenance items performed to schedule - still after nearly 14 years, the car was dissolving before our eyes. It looked showroom-new, but underneath, it was a mechanical sewer.

I have 2000 RX300 that currently has 76,300 miles on the odometer. I change the oil and filter every 3,500 to 5,000 miles, change the transmission fluid every 15 to 30k (drain and refill), and change the coolant every two years. To date, the following has been done to the RX: changed the front and rear brake pads and rotors, battery, replaced "D" indicator light bulb, installed new cabin filter, replaced the mass air flow meter, cleaned the IACV, replaced the rear brake light bulbs, replaced the antenna mast, and replaced the original tires at 52k miles.

I got 62K miles on the much maligned GoodYear Integritys. Right now on about 55K with Michelin (sp?) M+S. Will be switching back to all season. But this belongs in a different thread.

My service has been identical, minus the replacing of the mass air flow meter, and I put in new Iridium spark plugs and the left rear hatch hyrdolic to hold up the hatch.

Not bad when at 80,000 miles the only things that aren't wear items are a dash light ($3) and a hydrolic piece (fixed it with a bolt and some washers instead of replacing it for $2).

I think this vehicle has been the cheapest to own re: maintence I've ever owned!

I too need to replace the rear left liftgate strut but have not been able to find the replacement part on EBay or an online automotive parts store. The original part still works but its not as effective as it should be.
