Default Rear Main Seal-2001 RX300-Help

Hello,

Just had rear main seal replaced...Would the oil be changed as part of this service...Regular oil not the transmission fluid

I could not tell from the paperwork....

Check engine oil level. Tech could have just let the oil drip and collect and then filled up.

Realistically, they should drain it. However, it is possible to seal up such a leak without draining the system, though I don't know why they would do it that way in the case of a rear seal leak. I would check with them and see what their standard practice is.
