I've did everything, I have loosened it, taken it off, tightened it up. I tried to prop the alternator up with a rock, I yelled at it prayed for it and even sat on the ground and cried to it and still I can't match them up. This is crazy If it wasn't for that stupid bolt I would be driving again. And as far as whoever designed this **** to where even a woman's hands don't fit needs to be hung.
Watching mirror move the alternator until you see the bolt hole line up in the bracket.
Long bolt (adjuster bolt) is on top of that block. Fastening bolt goes left to right through hole on bottom of block

I am so sorry that you are experiencing this. Reminds me of the time when I was learning to ride a bicycle. It is so hard to explain. Examine the alternator and observe the pivot point and the other allows a motion in an arc (with the fastener loose). The tensioner is the piece that would force the motion in the arc. Without the belt and tensioner loosened the alternator should move in a arc [close to the block or away from the block]. Once you have that set up the belt should be able tp slip on and then the tensioner should take the slop.
