This poor Rx sustained lots of damage. A rip off price too for the damage it has. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...item=598426863 -Paul

Wonder what sort of accident this RX was involved in? Any guesses?
My guess it got "t-boned" by another car in the rear driver side, but looks too high and "flat". Maybe a semi hit it?
Anyway, for the price, I wouldn't touch it... Probably would be better to part it out, though.

I was just on ebay looking at that tonight. I thought the same thing, a bit too much for a wrecked RX.
If it were cheaper, you could buy it and store it for 10 years. Then, take your RX and swap out many of the interior parts - you'd have a new looking RX!
Just a thought.

Wow, that sucks. Doesn't look like there was much intrusion into the cabin, so that's a very good thing for any of the passengers. Lexus should really add front-to-back side-curtain SRS on the RX just like they do in the new ES...

I printed out the photos and showed them to the estimator
at the local Lexus dealer's bodyshop. (they did an outstanding
job re-painting my RX300's driver-side door, by the way)
He told me it would cost at least $12000 to bring that RX300
back to normal. Of cours, there may be additional internal
damages which he can't see from the photos... He said
that RX300 should be declared total in the first place... The
current owner probably has no insurance and wanted to get
rid of it. The GEICO guy who has an little office over there
agreed with the bodyshop.
However, it would make a good buy if you're going to part
it out. Engine, transmission, interior parts, etc....
