Default vais iPod integration

ive been wanting to integrate my iPod into my 99 rx300 for some time now. i seemed to have finally found the perfect solution!

Here!

others have options for xm/sirius satellite radio and such, but that's not what im interested in

does the 99rx300 have "MD-Text or CD changer with CD-Text."?

if it does, it will display text (artist, song, etc.) on the OEM LCD

this company makes this stuff SPECIFICALLY for toyota/lexus owners to keep their OEM stuff.

what do you think about this product?

also, if my car doesnt support cd text, can i add that using a program? or is it something to do with the actually cd changer itself? or the LCD that displays the information? in that case, if i replaced the the cd changed with one from, for example, best buy, that did support cd text, then would it show up on my factory blue LCD?

no it wouldnt show up. cause the OEM LCD is only supported for the factory CD changer. If you look at the screen and see the glare on it. You can see all the letter it can only display. Like a digital clock.

I just read further, the later RX cars had touch screen, the 99 did not... The unit requires touch screen to operate its functions....

what do you think about the harmon kardan drive + play 2? this has an external screen, so i wouldnt have to worry about the OEM LCD
