Nobody knows what part number it is. The part number specified in the other thread (83119-246710) does not exist.
I think the right one is 83101-20080 or 83109-30070

Here is more info:
83101-20080 EL44;12V 1.4W,W/SOCKET - $6.13
83109-24020 EL44;12V 3.4W W/GREEN CAP - $3.99
83109-30070 EL44;14V 2.0W,LONG LIFE - $2.27
83119-32010 EL44;14V 3.0W - $1.31
90981-11018 EL44..CND;12V 1.4W - $1.61

This is how the "D" bulb looks like:
Correct part # is 83119-24670. This number should work in both the Lexus parts system as well as Toyota parts system. Cost is around $4. You can get them from newlexusparts.com and I think IronToad has them as well. Or if you want to try something different you can get a LED from autolumination.com. I would stick with the stock bulb so the brightness matches the others.

Just one less light shining at night as I am driving. If I could just get that "bulb out" warning light to turn off, I would be happy.

Good point. I am going to remove those annoying instrument cluster, headlights, taillights, and side markers from my car so they stop exasperating me when I drive at night.

All of my outside lights are working, but the warning light says I have a bulb out when I turn the lights on. Yes, it is very annoying. It would be a great feature if it worked properly.

Bravo. I actually plan to remove the side markers from my my vehicle and repaint the fenders, similar to the Toyota Harrier which doesn't have side markers on the bumpers.

When you say "bulb out" warning light are you talking about the "rear light failure warning light" which is bottom right under the tach? If so this is only indicating failure of one of the tail lights or brake lights. Nothing to do with side marker lights. Check your rear lights good including brake lights. The third brake light is one that is easily missed. Sometimes a aftermarket bulb causes this warning, usually in that third brake light.

lexus ext warranty doesnt cover the replacement bulb which i hate because it is a common problem.

as far as the 400h the panel is different and uses leds. im not 100% positive since ive never worked on an instrument panel yet.

Because of usual handling fee. If you would buy 2 of them, they would charge you 14 bucks.

Wow, it has been like almost 3 yrs since I logged in to CL. This will be my 2nd RX and both of them had the D light out. Very common. If someone can post a DYI on changing it, that will be awesome.

Hmmm, interesting. All the lights are working, brake, running, etc. I did replace the center brake light with an aftermarket bulb. I'm blown away that an aftermarket bulb could cause the warning light to stay on. WIll Lexus go to any length to get you back into the dealership?
