i havent replace my knock sensors, but my engine isn't shaking or knocking.

It don't have to knock or shake if your knock sensors are bad. Those sensors are just microphones that listen to detonations in both banks of your engine.
Btw, only one of my sensors kicked a code but actually both of them where bad. Also, if you get a CEL caused by a knock sensor, ECM automatically shuts down 4th gear.

Here is the definition of a knock sensor:
"A sensor mounted on the engine that is designed to detect the high-frequency vibrations caused by detonation. By employing a knock sensor, a computerized engine-control system allows an engine to operate very near its detonation limit--thereby improving power and efficiency."

PS: I also think knock sensors have nothing to do with eyelids.
