Mounting a front license plate
Hey G&G,
I recently picked up a '99 RX300 out of AZ and it showed up without a front license plate bracket. Since I'm in Oregon, they require one. I'd hate to drill in through my front facia to mount a plate. Anyone have any cool ideas/alternatives to mounting a front plate on an RX300?
Thanks in Advance!!

Any dealer have those. They are not expensive.
It is $3.49 at Park Place Plano Parts.

Is the dealer mount a 'drill through the front fascia' style? Ahh, I'll just call them and ask... I read somewhere that the dealer will install a front plate mount for free, just as a part of good service.
Thanks for the quick reply... if all else fails, I'll pull out the duct tape ;-p~

2. Go to collision catalog for RX300
3. Search for "License Bracket" and "License Bracket Retainer".
They have illustrations.

The bracket was missing from my car when I got it. It had been there but had fallen off. I took it to Sewell here in Dallas and they wanted a couple of hours labor to remove the bumper cover and reinstall the bracket which seemed a bit excessive to install a license plate.
One of the mechanics suggested using Moly bolts in the holes already in the plastic cover so off to Home Depot I go. Two dollars later my plate is firmly attached and has remained in place, through countless car washes, for almost a year.
