Anyone know part # for OEM brake pads?
Hi everyone,
I'm slowly approaching 50,000 miles and I was wondering if I should just change my front brakes. I prefer lexus OEM ones and I think they're Toyota brands anyways. Is it cheaper to go to a Toyota dealership and order the part number or is going to the service counter at the Lexus dealership the same price?
Thanks,
BTW, what is the OEM part #?

I'd take a look and see how much pad is left. I have 53.5K-mi and the last time I looked I had plenty of pad left.
A third alternative OEM parts source are the Lexus dealers that do discount mail-order. Some of these are sponsors of this forum.

Front pads: 0445-48060
Rear pads: 04466-33050
You will find the rear ones at a Toyota dealer because they cross reference to a 4 cyl Highlander rear pad. The fronts will show up as a invalid number because they don't cross reference to a Toyota model.
There is no money to be saved on pads from a Toyota dealer anyway. Get them discounted from Lexus at irontoad.com or similiar discounter.
