Then as you saw in the picture of the Secret Weapon Intake filter above it has a 3 inch inlet on the top of it. I will be placing a 3 inch PVC piece in there, kind of like so as I showed earlier.

That piece will then connect to this piece, which will of course lead to the lower air intake.

I did a similar type test about 2.5 years ago with the Blitz SUS filter, but the entrance to the filter is much smaller than the 3 inch top part of the Secret Weapon Filter.

(lexmex) ok things are looking as i planned. do you think my best bet is to go as straight as possible with an oval muffler from a company such as magnaflow + a weapon r intake? also what's your opinion on TTE lowering springs to improve corning and reduce body roll/squating/nose dives?

--thanks
Well, that's about as good as you are going to get...I came roughly to the same conclusion (though I don't care as much about sound) in terms of directing exhaust backward for power. I think the TTE springs are the same as the Eibachs if I am not mistaken, can't speak much about springs as I don't use them, but from what I know that probably won't affect cornering as much with that drop. I might consider getting some springs from Japan in the future, but only on American roads.

ok...good ideas for the intake. as for the springs, the eibach lower the car 1.5-2 inches i think, and the TTE lower it 35mm. what springs would you recommend getting to reduce body roll/squating/nose diving and therefore improve cornering?

i think im going the the secret weapon weapon-r cold air intake + some kind of spring + something with the exhaust for starts. could you give the exact tip that you that you think i should buy for the needs im trying to meet?

I'll have to defer to others who have actually used the springs.

If you are referring to exhaust tip, even the design like on the X5 is adequate or one one that is round, but should be about the size/length of that one that I showed on that APC muffler.

Cool

That TTE is BS. It's just another lame M45 blower that's too small mounted on the intake manifold.

Yall do realize for $1500 the Camry M45 will mate to your intake manifolds & do a fine enough job blowing the engine up without more extensive fuel mods lol!

I talked to someone a while back who had the TTE installed, was in Poland, but they couldn't get out of the 16s when they ran it in the 1/4 mile. Ah yes, the beloved Eaton M45, http://www.eaton.com/EatonCom/Produc.../M45/index.htm

1/4 mile time.

Supposedly , an AWD RX300 is supposed to do 16.8 in the 1/4 mile and 8.8 secs in 0 to 60 mph. Most things I have read over the years in publications show 17s. A few years back I read a Consumer Reports and it showed the RX330 (not the RX300) pegged at 17.0, but I think the RX probably runs low 17s.

I haven't had the chance to test my RX at sea level to see what it could run, but fastest up here at 7,400 feet has been 17.931.

wow that's pretty cool...i've never timed my car, but it's stock so there's really nothing to test. will my car be noticeably faster AT ALL with a cold air intake? without timing it?

Depends how you set it up, but I notice without it in a test a few weeks back I lost a few tenths of a second, which is pretty significant.
