I got the aftermarket red recently, I have a recent posting on this forum with pictures. I just always thought that smoked lenses make the lights a little darker when activated, which for me is a safety concern.

Thanks. Installed in less than 20 minutes. Parts were like OEM and fit exactly flush and everything.
Yeah, the smoked LEDs are just smoked plastic lenses over clear LED that light up red when activated. That's the beauty of LEDs, any color can start our white so you have a 'clear' look. I personally just didn't like the clear look.

nice. zombie...where are your pics? that was my initial desire as well 
. this does fit on the 99 rx300 awd right? i searched a lot of them and i kind of got them all mixed up! i looked at some peoples public profiles and it said theat they had them on their 99, but i want to make sure im not doing this wrong and that it oes fit for a fact on the 99. when did they change the style? also...these are actual LED's right? they're not just bulbs with mirrors set up to look like them correct?

I would not say tons... about 30 or so on each side. Yes, they are true LED, not "fake" LEDs. Description on mine is that they'll fit '98-'00 so I guess '01 went to the Alzerra lights. Anyway, I love mine....
