Default Brake Fluid

Hey everyone my rear brake pads have been squealing like mad lately. So I took a look and noticed that I pretty much have no meat left on it but I'm sure I can re-surface the rotors. So I ordered some Akebono brake pads online...and I'm also of thinking of bleeding/draining out the brake fluid. Does anyone know how much brake fluid I need to do this and also if ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid (DOT4) is compatible?

I just did flushed my brake fluid last week and it took just a little less than a liter of ATE SuperBlue, which is easily compatible.

Take a look at TunedRX300's thread, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=185967

I actually might just get new rear rotors. After searching I found a website with fair pricing just that it lists different rotors for the 2001 year models. They have one pair of rear rotors that fit the January 1998 to October 2001 models. Then they have the November 2001 to January 2003 models. How do I check which month my car was made in?

There should be no difference in terms of the year. The only difference with rotors is between the FWD and AWD rear rotors. The AWD rear rotors are .4 inches bigger in diameter than those of the FWD.

However, as far as seeing when your RX300 was made, on the lower edge of the driver door when you open it, it will have a white rectangular sticker and in the upper right hand corner of the sticker it will have the month and year of manufacture, for example on mine it says 08/98.

EBC sells some rotors for the RX300 and I know that they differentiate by year, but when you look at the actual model number, the only difference is the AWD and FWD rear rotor part numbers, regardless of year.
