Blown light indicator with LED taillights
Has this happened to anyone that got LED taillights? I got mine aftermarket (of course) and they're about a month old. I got the "blown light" indicator yesterday, but all lights are good, it's not the LED draw issue because it was wired for plug-n-play and worked fine before yesterday. The funny thing is, it doesn't happen during the day when I'm using the brakes or anything. It only happens at night when the auto light kicks in and I step on the brakes. I checked the wiring and it all looks to be connected.
To me, it seems the indicator is not picking up that the lights are in "low" setting, because like I said, they don't come on during the day when I step on the brakes.
Worse case scenario, I don't drive at night, or I remove the indicator bulb...
Thanks....

Maybe it has nothing to do with the tail lights and the problem is with the brake lights ... check all brake lights (including the high mounted) ... Note one of the bulb may be at the verge of brakedown ...wait few days.

I don't have just LED bulbs, the whole housing is LED and it was wired to not trigger the "blown light" indicator. I checked all lights including the high mount and all are good. I don't know which lights the indicator checks, but the side markers, license plate, tail light, brake light, turn signal, all are good and functioning.
I would say it thinks the taillight "low" illumination (headlight on, no brake) is blown, when it's not.
