1999 RX 300 looking to buy
I was looking at a used 300 for my wife and came across one in a color that I have not seen before. Its a medium red with tan interior. Strikingly beautiful.. Are these rare? does anyone have production #'s on colors??

I know of two colors in the '99 models that may somewhat match what you're referring to.
One is the Desert Bronze Metallic and the other is the Venetian Red Pearl.
In my area, you're more likely to see the VRP before the DBM. Your mileage may vary... The red pearl distinguishes itself because the lower cladding is the same color as the top. The bronze has two-tone.
I was told the color my RX, Twilight Blue Pearl, is more rare and have only seen one other RX in that color. Most common ones I've seen are the Burnished Gold Metallic and the Millenium Silver.
Good luck in the purchase decision.

If you are looking at the Venetial Red Pearl, its (IMHO) unarguably the best looking RX! Unfortunately its currently discontinued. Dont have the production numbers for it either.

My friend and I would have bought the VRP had it still been available. Because they discontinued it, we went with black! But my heart still skips a beat when I see a red RX!

Red RX300
The Red was my first choice but when I went to buy mine none were available. Second choice was the silver and I love it too! Maybe Lexus will come to it's senses and come out with another red for 2003. I do love the lower cladding done in the same color.
