Rear Spoiler

Rear Spoiler
Is the rear spolier standard in certain parts of the country. I have noticed in virtually every state that I have visited that most of the RX-300's I see have rear spoliers. However, Florida seems to be the exception to the rule. The explanation I get is that people were complaining about wind noise, so they made it an option. Can anyone confirm or deny whether the spolier is standard or not?

Spoiler is indeed an option. BUT, what happens is most RXs come to the U.S. ports based on marketing and geographic locations. For example, in the northeast (NY/NJ port) you can usually get a RX with HIDs without having to get the Nav package. In other parts of the country I've heard you have to get the Nav package in order to get the HIDs. One could special order a vehicle if you were willing to wait.
For the most part, the RX looks better with the spoiler so that's the way the dealers get them. It's very rare to see a MY2000+ RX without the spoiler.

Ahhh, that's because you live in the area served by the "Toyota Gulf States port". This company/organization is notorious for forcing all kinds of unwanted options and accessories onto the customers because it increases their profit margin.
