Default Best price Parts ??

I have a couple of Beemers and there is one specific place where I get most of my parts. In seraching the net, I find it very hard to see where to get the best selection of Lexus parts .

Does anyone have favorites where they specfically handle Lexus parts?

Does everyone have to buy from Lexus dealers ? I know Honda used to be very strict with parst and you had to go to them for everything .

Also i posted a thread about exhaust smell. I see the exhuast manifold for the 3 cylinders right in the front, but don't see the other 3. I don;t see any crack, but is there anoter way to look

Thanks
Jim

I will defer to the rest our fine RX300 colleagues on the parts, as I actually get everything aftermarket.

As far as the exhaust on the rear, here is a picture. You have to crawl underneath and check it out or get it up on a lift.

What type of parts are you looking for. For me its a mix of the Dealership for some special OEM parts or just order from Rockauto (whoever is cheaper). I usally order from Rockauto though. They have quite a few number of OEM parts also. But maybe someone else has a different store.

Sewell of Plano had by far the best price. I just ordered saved 50% ordering from them vs Sewell of fort worth.

If you do a little detective work, you can figure out the equivalent part number from Toyota ( not Lexus) and get them for a little over half of what a Lexus dealer charges. Hint: RX300->Highlander. The Toyota dealer will not be able to tell you the cross reference but you can figure it out online.

I have used Sewell and RockAuto the most, although Lexus OEM brake parts were always cheaper at IronToad (how did they arrive at that name????) so I got those there.

If you do as suggested above and find the toyota part #'s, give elmhurst toyota (Illinois) a call. They have great prices and have been serving many toyota forums for years.

I also will attest that if you are going for the factory parts, you can't beat our sponsors prices. I used to order from several of these places when I was south of the border and easy to do every time.

Some of the aftermarket parts groups like Amazon and RockAuto are among the better ones, but as I have mentioned many of the critical parts (sensors among others) you really need to stick with OEM parts and our sponsors are the ones to reach out to.
