Default looking for rx300 wrecking yards

i wasn't able to find anything using the search option.

i had a mishap with a parking bollard and i am now in need of the left rear door lower body cladding and the bottom 1/4 section.

does anyone know of a yard or shop that may have it used for sale?

thanks

Just price the cladding from your Lexus dealer (check sponsors). It has been a while but they come pre-painted and replacing them is easy. [Check for fading mismatch but usually the difference is not noticeable]. When you include all the hassle [locating a used part, paying for shipping and possible disappointment] a new part may be better choice.

Dealt with them twice, never had a problem. Accually, they're pretty easy
to do bussiness with.

Goodluck...

salim,

you mentioned color matching...how far off was it? is it as bad as the touch up paint not matching?

There is museum I visited once and it had large rectangle split in the middle by a rope [visual partition of a different color]. The two sides looked identical in color and hue .... till you moved the rope away .... and you could spot the difference in color immediately.

Moral of the story is .. since there is gap in the panels the difference would be hard to tell. I could not tell the difference between the panel from the dealer and the one on my RX for 2+yrs.

If your dealer has them in stock, just take it out in the sun and compare.

unfortunately no my local dealer is overpriced and backordered from japan for at least 2 weeks.

i'm hoping to mail order from carson toyota... even though they are toyota, they came up cheaper than either park place or sewell.

PM member 'Aliga' who does a lot of used parts business and is an approved vendor here if you haven't already.

I've never bought from them, but there is a junkyard that specializes in Toyotas/Lexus in AL. http://www.billystoyotaparts.com/
