My dealer also told me that my battery is "on the last leg." Well, it started my RX300 just fine at 5 F.

Changed the OEM battery on my 1st RX at 152,000 miles, 7 years old. Put in a Die Hard--great battery.

Just changed the battery on our '99 RX with 118K miles. We just got the vehicle last fall, but I don't think the battery in it was original. We got the one from Wal-Mart (yes, I know), but it was highly rated by Consumer Reports and on this forum. Boy, does it spin that starter around!!

Had the dealer replace it at about 60k because it was periodically having trouble starting the vehicle in the mornings. Wasn't holding a charge.

At six years, just because I didn't want to worry about it failing.

Just bought a '02 with 85000KM which had been sitting on a Chrysler lot since Sept '07.....they replaced the battery after I'd made the deal because the sales mgr wasn't happy as it had to be jumped to detail it.
I liked that.

I just changed it at 86000 miles because mine is 2000 and the battery life is 84 months so i figure out its time to change.

Hi,
I bought my car (2000 RX300 AWD) on july 2005 and has motorcraft battery. It has no problem but i don't know how long before the previous owner changed the battery. Do i need to replace it ? Any reviews for this battery:
" DieHard Automotive Battery, Platinum P-1 - Group Size 34 ". Does the battery cause any more extra gas burning ? Full tank of gas my Rx300 goes for only 200 miles in New York City|

Your battery has no direct effect on your fuel mileage. You might try cleaning your Air/Fuel sensor (search this forum) and resetting your ECM by disconnecting the ground wire (-) from the battery for about ten minutes to reset your computer to the default fuel map.
