Lets ask Lexus to bring back the RX 300!
Hello,
I love my 2001 Rx 300....it is so "solidly" built....I have driven the 330 and 350 but the "feel" is very different...
Those two models do not feel as "sturdy"......I am not sure they are improvements over the 300....
Lets have them bring it back......

I drove the RX330 and RX350 loaners. The build quality definitely isn't as good as RX300. Though I'd rather see Lexus improve on it.
The new 2009 RX styling is somewhat VW/Audish at the front end. A bit radical for my taste.

So what would I gain by paying $8k to drive a RX330?
The RX330 has 16,000 less miles and a superior turning radius over the RX300. Set aside the style difference, slightly greater space in the RX330, and fear of transmission failure with the RX300, I don't see much benefit, so I will probably hold off and continue to drive the RX300 until it reaches 150k miles and then perhaps look for a 400H.
Since I put in less than 10k miles per year, it could be awhile before I make a change but I can't complain as the 2000 RX 300 has been an extremely reliable vehicle.

Or, at least something the size of the RX300. Car creep seems to enlarge both the size of the cars and the engine displacement. I think the current RX350 is maybe 8 inches longer and almost 20% greater engine displacement. The next generation of RX will likely have three rows of seats and an even larger engine displacement. I think my RX300 weighs about 3,600 pounds (FWD and no sunroof). They're probably all over 4,000 pounds now.
