I seem to recall the total is seven. Anyway, it's well in excess of the number of keys that came standard with the RX.

Again, I can't say for certain what is the limit but 7 seems like a reasonable number [binary 8 and may be 1 reserved as "ultimate master" by Lexus]

I would not worry about first few modules that you want to register, but always remind people that they should think about the consequences. Then there is a possibility of erasing a stored code .. but then again it has not been substantiated.
