I've got an '00 RX300 with 103k on it and got the above codes. I've read a lot about the P1150 (bank 2 sensor 1) but not much about P1155. I believe this is bank 1 sensor 1 (please correct me if I'm wrong). Where is B1S1 located?

These are the only codes I'm getting, any suggestions? I'm going to try and clean my MAF right now.

Actually P1155 should be Bank 2, Sensor 1, I had to check one of my old posts, because across the Internet they put Bank 1, Sensor 1, but I am pretty sure I must have checked my manual on that one (and can check it again in a few hours). That one is quite easy to get at, just open the hood and it is the one coming right off the exhaust manifold.

Could he have an open heater on one of the sensors. I believe it is the black wires. If they measure open it is bad. Please help somebody, I cant remember which wires are the heater.

If it's dead, it's dead or malfunctioning. If after he tried disconnecting the battery, EFI fuse, and that thing still comes on, then he has to replace the sensor.

That P1155 to confirm is just as I said above, Bank 2, Sensor 1, double checked manual again.

OK, I got the sensor, took it home to put it on, and can't get the old one off. I tried for hours. Yes, I did use lube. I then took it to a shop today to see if they could get it off... guess what... nope. This is being a huge pain in the ***.

Any suggestions? I guess I'm going to have to take it to a specialty exhaust shop pay big $.

I had a hard time getting the A/F sensor from the front bank off. You may have to take the exhaust manifold header off and replace with a new one (or used one off ebay) with the new sensor mounted. At least that is the route I am going to when the A/F sensor fails.

If for some reason in the future, whether I am in Mexico or the U.S. (likely the latter), I will do exactly what my uncle does when he has a tough A/F sensor bung, he burns out the sensor, cutting it off with a welding torch and then welding the new sensor back in there. In fact they sell blank bungs all over Mexico City, but again in your case you would have to either be handy yourself or know someone who can do that. All you need to do is just get the A/F sensor back in there, doesn't matter how it gets in there. As you can note above, I have already had a crack on that sensor bung myself.

This is a photo I have shown before when I was doing exhaust pipe modifications back in late 2006 and this is that very A/F sensor on that front pipe. All it needs to do is get in the path of the exhaust.

Now I haven't had an A/F sensor go bad on me yet. I had one code related to the rear sensor late last year, but cleared it and no problem. I am convinced that not having pre-cats is a major reason I have not had an A/F sensor failure. I have been trying to examine myself via Toyota Solara/Camry owners who have non-Cali spec vehicles (ones that don't have the precats unlike our RX300s) if there is indeed a lesser failure rate on A/F sensors without the use of precats.

Anyway, over the years I have played around with the O2 sensor bung that is after the main cat, as shown below when we were enlarging that section of pipe once. We merely 'torched out' the bung and put it back on the pipe.

Thus, I don't see a major issue in having to do that in terms of cutting it off and putting it back on.

However, what TunedRX300 mentions is correct on looking somewhere for one of these manifolds. You can find them off of other 1mzfe powered vehicles such as the Camry, Highlander, Sienna and Solara and even the ES300.

I ended up just having a shop cut the old sensor out weld a new bung in place.

I have 2000 camry v6 with similar engine and got p1150 and p1155 ..just wanted to make sure that I am replacing the right oxygen sensor.

Should be the same, as the 1MZFE engines are roughly the same on both vehicles with minor differences.
