Trans fluid color?
Hey guys just checked my trans fluid color. I've included a sample. Its actually a bit darker than it seems. Not a bright pink as recommended. What are your thoughts? Thanks, Yosh

Its hard to tell. I'll say it does not smell burned. Its got a light hint smell of petroleum.

For me it is usually blood red and sweet smelling and when I drop it on some paper towel it blots rather than just sitting there.

I'll try the paper towel test, but mine is not blood red nor it smells sweet.

I know what you mean, because after about 6 months for me, the sweet smell does drop off heavily and it looks like it is turning a bit dark red.

Here is another. I looks dark in the middle but after it sits there for a few it gets lighter.

Blot looks fine. you may want to try to put a bit on the end of your finger, I do that to check the color consistency.

I will take some photos of mine tonight, since I have only had brand new ATF in there for about 2 months.
