i have an rx300 silver sport that i have kept because i love it. not just the looks - no two tone and also a wonderful grill - but also because it is shorter and runs like a top. the wide - excessive - turn ratio is absurd, but......
my husband is suggesting that i buy a new rx400h because the dealers are swamped with 2008 models and the 2009 models are in.....good deals are being made on 2008s.
i don't want to give up my grill. i love it. i know the 400h grill is different also from the standard, but....
are the grills a standard size, i.e., could i get a new one and put my silver sport grill in it? i know, it sounds dopey, but the alternative is to keep the 2001, totally repaint it.....no body damage but some scratches and i did kiss a guard rail during a rain storm....just paint damage.....and do a couple of other fun things and then have my smaller suv looking great and maybe add a camera...already have a gps...
now, i know most guys are going to say...."what a girly thing to do" but you know what????? my sales guy is going nuts of course because he wants me to buy new.....not if i can't have my old grill.

I dont know if your grill will fit,Because one would think that in seven years, they would have changed the dimensions. At least enough that it wouldnt fit.Try calling a body shop in your area, they of all people should know for sure.Sorry I could not give a definitive answer.

I can relate to your feelings. For me it's the shorter length and the drawers in the console (instead of a covered "pit").
I say keep the RX300 and fix it up. All the RX300s are still young; less than 10 years old.
