I have a 2001 RX300 FWD (4X2) with 115k miles.
I'm thinking of replacing the struts (4) to improve ride quality. However it rides fine as-is. How do I need to know if the struts need replacement?
Do they suggest replacement at 60k or 90k miles.
Thanks for your reply.

I don`t know of any mileage to change them out. From my understanding,1st are their any leaks coming from the struts? They should be dry, free from any weeping oil, etc. You should jack the car up a bit,so you can see all the way to the top of the strut. If the visual inspection is okay, bounce it,meaning start at the front, should not bounce more than one time maybe 1.5 times.same with the back. You should be able to tell by the way it feel`s too.
