Another shot of the logo.

Muffler in Spanish is Mofle. Though some times we say salida or exit, to imply where the exhaust flow comes out, but Mofle is the correct word.

Now we check to see if the twin pipes will fit. We found out we had to widen them just a bit.

Now, remember this machine that we saw earlier?

Well, what that does is widen out piping, or rather stretches it out. You can see the stretched pieces of tube on the muffler at the top.

A little better now. Now we just have to adjust the rear twin 2.25 inch piping.

And now we have our muffler in place.

Now, originally we had planned to remove the box muffler in order to place it on the rear where the Arvin muffler is, but one sound test, and we soon realized that we needed to do no such thing. In fact the guys at Kire thought exactly that throughout the process and were 100% confident they would not need to replace the Arvin muffler, even though part of what I had paid for was to do that. It sounded PERFECT their muffler and the direct flow Arvin muffler on the back.

And how did it sound. Well some of you might have already heard this on my youtube site:

In park, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNCI88UMPys
On the highway, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcjOARV8NO8

Now compare this to two examples I found also on youtube.

1MZFE Highlander, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpMD4rhwFdE
Harriers in Japan, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9evfMKaJbws

Notice the similarity in sound?

Keep in mind my RX is now much quieter at idle and you will not hear much (actually more my intake than exhaust) under WOT (wide open throttle), but under 40 mph, it is very quiet.

Thank you Kire for making me such a fine muffler.

Now, on to an issue that affects most of you, the stock muffler and resonator.

Recognize these?

Out of our shop, we found my old OEM RX300 muffler (top) and the resonator (bottom).
