Default I'm sure you are all happy now...

Here is my exhaust setup. Not quite sure of the brand. I was told it is a "Texus Turbo Muffler" but I think it sounds pretty amazing.

1. Side Profile...I don't think my 5$ tip is lasting...uh oh.

2. As you can see it is very small compared to the stock POS muffler. The tip is perfect length and it does not stick out from the car at all. It is more/less hidden.

3. Pretty flush, not going to lie, haha.

4. Maybe someone can explain why there is no "brown stuff" on this side of the tip... Once again you can see just how small it is compared to stock and how it is basically hidden.

5. Another side shot, but close up. Look at the two hangers! Boy did they do a great job of hanging this thing. The setup is perfect!

6. ..read it.

As soon as I find a legit video camera, I will take videos so that you can hear the sound!!!

I am glad you like your setup.

Just keep an eye for corrosion. Knock offs tend to be of shorter life. The good ones can be superior to oem .. I dont think OEM are stainless steel.

About the length / sticking out / angle of cut ... the manufacturer has to ensure that no exhaust fumes get back in the cabin ... in other words there is more to it than plain simple cosmetics/aesthetics. Your new length may be good, but you may have compromised the quality/freshness of air inside the cabin.

In any case, what matters is how you feel about the change.

Salim is right, what you need to know is stainless steel is much more resistant to corrosion than "chrome" exhaust tips and such. Can't wait to hear it through.

I haven't been on since I have been bedridden the past 2 days.

As long as you still have the stock resonator, you should be fine with that. Will tell everyone something I had done the other day by my uncle. One of my other uncles visiting us is a CHP (California Highway Patrol). We asked his personal opinion on my exhaust and if it would pass muster on the sound in California. He 100% sure when he said absolutely not.

Well he and my Uncle Antonio then went out, without my knowing, and found a BMW muffler in the junkyward that looks similar in appearance to the stock OEM muffler, but has a much higher rate of flow and is very quiet. For at least until I can get to Florida and see about the sound (which is a concern for me), I will keep it on. A few people will get to see it on the way over to Tampa, so I won't post pictures yet, but I probably will change it once again to something a bit smaller and longer, like an APC 2 in/1 out.

The problem came down to that Kire muffler that I have as a resonator was okay when the air temps were cold, but we have had a heat wave here, and the exhaust much louder than normal. And since we have heat in Florida, of course it would be an issue.

The Lexus supplied Ltuned exhaust for GS came with a certificate ... the exhaust meets California standards.

Well I'm not worried about smell in the cabin because I havent noticed my car smelling like a civic and I still have the stock resonator so nothing is really changing to harm the environment.. and now with my new air filter (i know its not much) it sounds nice and throaty up until about 3 grand rpm and then the vvti kicks in and u hear it and feel it. its pretty awesome. after 2000 rpm my car wouldnt pass any sound law anywhere haha, not going to lie...

As long as you have the CAT you won't have smell.

miniround I have got to show you what I stuck on my rear (once I have daylight) to muffle down the noise. My RX is still quite loud regardless, but I will be seeing if if I can modify it again here (since I am now in Florida).
