Trans blew on my RX
My wife said she heard a very loud bang as if something fell off the car. The tranny is gone after 115k trouble free miles....sniff sniff.
Anyone else?

66,000 miles and tranny blew
My began developing problems with reverse gear at 66,000 and cannibalized itself at 68,000+ What more to say than a problematic transmission with plenty of failure history? Be sure to file a complaint with NHTSA.

Dealer cannot open the transmission case
I was told by the Lexus dealer in Eugene that he could not open the tranny case to investigate a possible failure mechanism. If he does open the case and Lexus learns of this, they will "ding-him" on the discount offered on the transmission change-out. That is a creative means of keeping these tranny problems in the Lexus court, and covered from review/diagnostics.
