Here's why I'm asking... a local Lexus dealer gave me the following quote...
Thank you for visiting our website. The estimate is as follows:
Water pump, timing belt, drive belts & coolant=$775.00
Thermostat=$200.00
Or you can do a 90,000 mile service which includes:
Change engine oil and filter
Reset maintenance light
Replace transmission and differential fluids
Replace transfer case oil (4wd only)
Replace engine coolant
Replace brake fluid
Replace cabin air filter
Replace engine air filter
Replace timing belt
Replace wiper blade inserts
Top off all fluids
Inspect tires and set pressures
Inspect for stored trouble codes
Safety inspection of brakes, steering, battery, and exhaust
Road test
Wash and vacuum
The total cost for the service and to include the water pump is $1383.00.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, or if you would like to make an appointment.

If you have been using the lexus/Toyota coolant, the water pump and thermostat replacement are not required. I would suggest replacement if there is an evidence of corrosion/buildup or leaks.
Rollers/idlers may need to be replaced, but then again you only find out when you remove the cover.
[ps: It is a bit of gamble if you choose not to replace the waterpump.]

thanks Salim!
The waterpump I definetely want to do...I don't think the truck has Lexus/Toyota coolant.
In regards to the thermostat, how difficult is it to replace on its own?

There are few people, including myself, who have done the thermostat (changed it out to a TRD T-stat). Not impossible but not as easy as say changing your oil. However, no reason to change it out unless it is broken.

Well, this 90,000 mile service doesn't appear to include the water pump (which you say you want) or accessory belts (which should just be the cost of the belts), so you'd be looking at about $1600+ for the service including everything you want. That's a lot of extra money for fluid changes and "fluff"! My lexus dealer wanted well over $2000 to do all this including changing the plugs. I went to an independent and got it all done for under $1000 (minus the wash and vacuum)!

Many thanks guys!
So basically I'm thinking of getting the Timing Belt, Accessory belts, water pump and antifreeze flushed for $775 + tax...think that's actually pretty decent.
May have them just do a tranny fluid change which they said was $160.
What do you guys think of those prices?

Everything seems pretty good except for the tranny fluid change. Transmission fluid change can be somewhat easy to do (if you're just doing a drain-and-fill). Independent mechanics usually charge $80-$100 in my area for a drain-and-fill on the transmission fluid.
To give you more of a feel on prices:
I had a 90,000 mile service done by someone that works for Toyota that I met through a friend. He works on cars within his own home to bring in a little extra. I think he gave me a pretty good price:
Battery
Coolant/Anti-freeze flush
Oil/Oil Filter
Timing belt
Accessory belts
Water pump
Power Steering fluid change
spark plugs
fixed a minor oil gasket leak
All for $700 or $750. It's one or the other, I forget.
Good luck finding the right price! Make sure it's a trustworthy indy and that he knows exactly what he is doing. (Correct fluids to use and things like that)

Well I guess my situation was a little different. I wanted the timing belt changed since I had no records of when it was last done when we got our RX. I found a place here locally called Japanese Auto Specialist. They did the timing belt, oil seals located behind the timing belt, drive belts, water pump, thermostat change, coolant system flush, and oil change for 600.00 out the door. I was quite pleased with their work and pricing.
