Alarm Just Goes Off
This has happened to me three times since Saturday.
Saturday night my wife gets home from work, parks and locks the RX. About an hour later the car alarm goes off.
I go out to check it and no signs of intrusion, nothing.
Yesterday, same thing. Wife gets home, parks and locks it. About an hour later off goes the Alarm! Hummm, so I go check it and all the doors are still locked, etc. Then I shut the alarm off.
I set the alarm and come back in the house. 2 Minutes later the alarm goes off again!
I turn the alarm off and set it. No further problems.
Anybody have an idea as to what is going on? It's pretty weird.

I personally never had that problem, but my friend who has a GS4 had the same problem.. Just bring it to Lexus and tell them it is going off for no reason. They fixed his and he hasn't had any problems with it so far... Something was wrong with the sensor. No big deal....

Hey Additude
Cruise by your local Lexus dealer, and have them replace the "Drivers Door Power Window Master Switch"
There is a service bulletin on it for the RX's
Had the same thing on mine, new switch.....
bye.. bye.. annoying alarm....

Thanks everyone,
But I feel pretty stupid. Of course it's my wifes car and she uses it to haul stuff for her store. Well she put a large box in the back, that wasn't letting the rear hatch close completely all the way.
It was latched, just not closed tight. It looked closed, but I guess it wasn't.
The other more stupid thing I did was to take it in for the problem and have the service dept. tell me what they found. Rear hatch not closed tightly. DoH!
It was so close that I would shut the drivers side door and see the "Door Open" indicator on the dash flicker.
Even though I think it was totally the rear hatch not seated, the service report said "Found wiring harness short on rear hatch". But they also put "Be sure rear hatch is closed securely".
They had at least an 1 hour into it, so I guess saying there was a short provided a little saving face for them also.
But, just like my dealer, Hendrick Lexus, they did it on Goodwill and didn't charge me anything for it.
I think Hendrick Lexus is the best.
