Default A/C Took the day off

Hey guys, here in Northern California we're having a pretty nice heat wave and today my A/C decided to just blow hot air at me, everything else seems normal. The radiator fans still come on when i switch on the A/C but it only blows hot air even on MAX COLD. I checked the low-pressure valve and the PSI seems to read normal, what can I do or what may be causing this problem here?

Thanks in advance.

Visually check to make sure that your a/c clutch is engaged when the air is on. If it is, next feel the line where it goes into the accumulator/drier, or into the firewall. It should be cold. If those things both check put, I would say it is a failure in the blend door system- something stuck or broken or vacuum hose off if it vacuum or electrical failure if it electrical. That is probably a little more likely. See if you can hear the doors move when you manually change the controls, you should be able to if you listen carefully.

It could also be the hot valve has failed in the on position or the controls to it have failed for the same reasons the blend doors might. Good Luck. Let us know how those things check out.

Sorry- I beleve it's where it comes out of the a/d that it should feel cold. And I'm not sure you have a traditional a/d like I'm used to on american cars.
