New to the club, see what you think. I have a 1999 RX300, with a 120k faultless miles. Just recently I have developed a rattle that occurs around 2000 rpm in the forward gears only. It sounds like its coming from the front of the car. A friend said offhand it was the catalytic converter, that should put the noise mid to rear. Any ideas? Thanks.

Probably the flex pipe on the exhaust just before the catalytic converter. Could also be the exhuaust flange bolt loose...probably have to look under the front of the car on the exhaust.
