What are the features you think are missing with the RX standard issue?
Then see if additional KEY FOB is needed.
Since I live in central Texas, I fail to appreciate the remote starter.
Few (if not many) of the weird problems experienced can be traced to the add on security/starter.
I would suggest think this through. Place you park may influence your decision.

I'm not a fan of our OEM alarm, so I use a Clifford G5 with dual-stage shock plus glass break sensor, also has remote start on it. Probably not an efficient use of a remote start considering I live in Northern California but if the technology is there then why not enjoy it.

I had a compustar in my typhoon. I loved it. It had a 1.5 mile range on the autostart and pager feature. It paged me when my alarm was going off, and the display showed if my doors were open, lights were on, car was started, and if it was locked or not. I'm going to be keeping the stock alarm on both my ES and my wife's RX.
