RX300 what to look for?

A record of periodic oil changes would be nice (with good quality oil). A record of some transmission fluid drain-and-refills would be even better. You can get nasty oil gelling problems if oil changes have been neglected, or cheap oil has been used. The transmission fluid should be cherry red, and not dark.
You don't mention condition, but that sounds like a good price to me if the RX didn't get any abuse.
Note that the timing belt is due to be replaced at 90K-mi.

Intermediate
8yr old with 80k on it, not that high mileage.
The price is pretty good, it's not going to cost much to replace the timing belt. Make sure it has had regular oil change and not many or serious dents .. I think it's a good deal. I have 2001 (7yr old) and intend keeping it for another 7yrs

just got mines 2001 rx300
just got my 2001 rx300 about 3 weeks ago myself, previous responses are correct, the more records you can find on what work was done on the car the better. don't buy it unless you get a carfax. mines was a single owner that did all the servicing at the dealer. paid 11k for mines but it was in excellent condition. happy hunting

I registered with Lexus as an owner, and found all service was done by the previous owner. They have all of the info,if the owner went to a Lexus dealer.
