Hi fellas, my cd player recently has stopped working. It says err2 when I press the cd player button, and the disk tray does not come out. Is there any easy fix to this or will it have to be taken to the dealership. One more quick question, if i want the nav in my car, is it just a matter of buying a cd, or will it involve getting additional hardware too? If its just a cd, any advice on where to get the best price on it. Thanks for your help, you guys have been a huge help to me!!

No, no, and no, sorry! I'm guessing, with the age of the car, the changer has developed a mechanical fault. The dealer, if they can still get a replacement, will just replace the unit for a refurbished one and charge you a fortune. They don't repair CD changers. You could try one of the internet auto radio repair places (eg United Radio in Upstate New York) but you'll have to take it our and re-install it yourself. And no, the Nav is a totally different system, although if you really want Navigation, you could replace the entire thing. The Lexus Nav systems changed versions a couple of times over the life of the RX300 (hardware and software) and I don't know about compatibility with wiring harnesses, amps, etc.
