magnaflow exhaust
I just put the Magnaflow 14829 muffler on the RX. It sounds GOOD. As far as db go, it's not much louder than stock, but it is quite a bit deeper. It's almost sounds like an Infinity FX35 if it had a smaller displacement and was an FX30.

yes pics please.. how much did it cost you parts and labor?
does it affect you sensors at all.. smog test safe? im afraid of doing any mods to the engine because of the strictness of smog testing in california

Magnaflow muffler won't affect you on smog at all...that stuff is all after the O2 sensor and of course the main cat. However, the police sometimes can taking a liking to the sound of the exhaust (depends on the jurisdiction). However, here in Florida I haven't had an issue with my modified exhaust and its sound and I know quite a few RX300 owners both on and off this forum from California that have had no issue with an aftermarket muffler, either via smog check or with the police.

- Magnaflow muffler model 14829
- Cost: $128 shipped
- Labor: Had a friend do it for free (turned out decent, the welding could have been better, but there are no exhaust leaks and you can't see his work)
- It hasn't thrown any codes or messed with any sensors
- Like I said, it's barely louder than stock at idle, but it's deeper. When I get on it it sounds nice like a smaller displacement FX35 (not nearly as loud though)
