Default slotted/drilled rotors minor braking pulsations

Had my front brakes and rotors done about 3 weeks ago at the dealership. Tires were balanced and checked and alignment was perfect. I started to get brake pulsations slowing down from 65-75 mph. Lower speeds were perfectly fine. Took it back to the dealer to have it checked out and confirmed that the brakes were slightly warped. Tech said that it could be due to driving habits, riding the brakes, driving with 2 feet etc. I don't have any bad driving habits when it comes to braking. I was wondering from the group if slotted/drilled rotors would prevent the warping from happening.
Does anyone here have such rotors? How is the performance on those things and where is a good deal to get the rotors. I looked on ebay and saw some decent deals..

If you are saying that your rotors were replaced or turned 3 weeks ago then you do have a problem. Most likely with the place that did the work. I would not accept their explanation. Rotors should not warp in three weeks. If they just did the pads that is a different situation. I have never used drilled or slotted rotors so I can't comment on that. The advertising for them does make the claim they last longer due to better cooling. I am doubtful however.

Over tighten lugs nuts can warp the rotors on some cars. I think the 300 is 70 lbs?

Drilled and slotted rotors are a waste of money. My brother-in-law races porsches at VIR, 100+ mph, with regular rotors, never a braking issue.

Agree with the previous two posters: the problem is not you, it's the rotors - most likely warped because of overtightening the lug nuts. Did they pulsate before you had the brakes repaired?

Spec is 76ftlbs I usually go to 80 since they tend to loosen up a little with aluminum rims.

"Drilled and slotted rotors are a waste of money." 100% agree at least on an RX300.

Did they just turn your old rotors or replace them? Some rotors will not hold true after they are turned. If they were already warped the warp comes right back or now that they are even thinner they warp even easier. New ones should have a warranty of some kind. I just put Autozone rotors on mine for $30 a piece and they feel awesome and have a warranty for 2 years. If they warp I'll just take them back.

i had the front pads replaced and the rotors milled. i did take it back in on wednesday at the dealer no less and they checked it and claimed it was my driving habits.. funny thing is that after i took it in and have been driving it for the last couple days no pulsations.. might be all in my head but maybe they were overtightening the lugs.. not sure.. so far so good we'll see this weekend..
so slotted/drilled rotors.. not worth looking into? what about the pads.. i did notice since i first had the pads released 3 weeks ago that dust seems to accumulate on the rims.. minor thing but annoying that i have to wipe them down about once a week.. does anyone know what the dealer uses?
